OUR 199 CLASS WILL RESUME ON TUESDAY, MARCH 20 WHEN WE PREPARE THE NARRATIVE ANALYSIS OF YOUR JOURNAL ENTRIES. DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR FINISHED PAPERS TO THIS LAST CLASS.

2/15/2012 - CLASS CANCELLATION AND RENEWAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Unfortunately, my back injury has forced me to cancel our 199 classes until the March March 20 seminar. That means we will not be able to do the observational study that was scheduled following reading week, including the two weeks of class presentations scheduled for March 6 and 13. The observational study and presentations were part of the 30% credit listed under “Class Participation” in the evaluation portion of the course syllabus. Obviously missing this component will not affect your grade in any way. It’s just something we couldn’t do this year. I’m really sorry about the inconvenience caused you by these cancellations, including missing discussion of the Multiple Causation and Child Abuse topics. I hope you were still able to take something away from your readings on these topics.

We will resume on March 20th when we consider the narrative analysis of your journal articles. Mean while, please keep up with your journal entries and read forward to the final three classes starting March 20. I am able to work at my computer for a while each day so feel free too email any questions you have about the narrative analysis in particular and the course in general. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have. I am also able to now work on the unfinished posts and will get these to you asap.

Once again, my regrets for my absence and the inconvenience caused you by this disruption and I look forward to reconnecting with you on March 20. Please check the announcement web cage of the course for further updates.

1/31/2012 - MISSED "ELEPHANT" CLASS AND MULTIPLE CAUSATION
I was unable to be at the "Elephant" class but hope you enjoyed the movie. What did it say to you about possible causes for the Columbine killings and how is this related to the topic of multiple causation that we cinsider next week. There are several readings, including Stanovich, for the next seminar on multiple causation and the final POST topic will be posted on Wednesday.

9/20/2011 - SLOW SERVER
